Our Fun Vacation. The Cruise. Day 1 - New Orleans
Our trip was so fun.
It was a little stressful to get babysitters coordinated and things packed right in the middle of moving, but once we were on the trip it was lots of fun!
We flew in to New Orleans,
mine and my sister in laws bags were too big so we had to check them in. Worked out great for us, more room and we didn't have to carry them..
The airport was awesome cause there was a band playing funky jazz music, and some random guy {That we later listened to again on Bourbon street the next night} got up and started singing, and than some little boy pulled out his trumpet and played, pretty cool!
We took a limo to the hotel. Almost everything was a first for Eliza, plane ride, cruise, taxi, limo, seriously almost everything it was fun to experience it with her.
Here is the hotel we stayed out.
We dropped our stuff off and went to find food. We ate a whole lot on this trip. I gained 7 pounds, but than the next day I was down to only gaining 3? So I am saying I only gained 3. We walked a whole lot and we always took the stairs in the cruise, and Tom and I shared so thankfully that was all!
We walked down Bourbon street, pretty cool during the day.
Definitely disgusting and awful at night. Wished we had been warned on that one. Too many he/she people and strip joints. Really gross!
We took a trolley to the French Quarters. This is the busing system. It is really cool. I loved the French Quarters and all the homes.
Can you see all the beads? There were millions in all the trees.
We went to the yummiest ice cream place. It had some weird flavors -- Lavender, strawberry Jalepino, cream cheese, but it was so yummy!
Than we had to get back to the hotel on Bourbon street. Again Gross.. But this guy was pretty cool. He had been there during the day in the exact spot and doing the same thing. I wonder if he took a break? He had tons of money in his bucket.. Still not something I would want to do.
Best Breakfast place -- Cafe Du monde. They had the yummy food in the pic below. And delicious Hot chocolate!
I even tried some of the alligator sausage too. Kindof weird.
Tom ate a po-boy, it is a full crab that hadn't developed a hard shell just a soft one, so you can eat the whole thing. You can even see the outline of the whole crab. Too weird for me. I did try a bite, but if I can see the shape it makes me feel bad, and I think of little mermaid. Weird, I know.
And more yummy food...

Brittany, I'm so sorry about your miscarriage...and how awful for that to happen on vacation.
