Playing Catch up - Random things in May.

11:04 AM OUR FULL HOUSE 2 Comments

Here is what we did in May.

I worked on my website and got it up and running.  It took so much work to do it myself.  I had to read so many tutorials and I learned a ton.  It is pretty cool to say I did the whole thing myself!!

My parents bought a lot in Stone Cliff for when they move back from China so we have been using the pool for them at least once a week.  It has been soooo nice to have access to a pool that is only 2 minutes from our house. This pictures is crazy cause it looks like Emma is standing on top of the water, it doesn't look like it ended well but the boys love the pool and don't mind getting wet!

The boys turned 2. I found this old photo of me prego.  Oh man I was seriously huge!!!

My grandma gave me some flowers from her garden.  I am in love!!

Lets just say May was the month for terrible 2's!!  They were quite naughty!!  Getting into make-up, coloring on walls, floors, themselves, dumped nail polish all over my carpet. climbing on counters, dumping yogurt on their head, who does that??

They got hair cuts.

My friends hubby's went to father and sons so all the girls went out.  Mine didn't go so he had father and sons at home.  I know he preferred that over camping! Between just us 3 moms we have this many girls!!

We celebrated Mother's day.  I took my mom to Olive Garden. Our tradition we have done ever year. We started when I was in college {I think- it's been so long} and that's the gift I give her every year.  It's pretty simple and sometimes I feel bad but she enjoys it and what do you give someone that can buy anything she wants anyways.

Emma and I went to a Mother's Day Activity.  We hula hooped {I was awful} but I made up for it in the limbo contest and won a pineapple!!

The boys turned 2.  We took them to McDonalds for their dinner.  {my least favorite place - but I knew that is actually what they would pick if they could talk!} We ordered like 4 happy meals, and some other food, and somehow ended up with double of everything...  We kept telling them we had everything but Tom and I's stuff and they just keep bringing out more.. it was pretty funny!!

I made this cute chore chart. My kids have done so good at finishing their chores everyday.
On the sticks it says:
Dishes
Clean playroom
Read Scriptures
Get dressed
Do Hair
Brush Teeth
Say Prayers
Clean Room
Make bed
Pick up 25 things
Mom's Choice {my favorite one}
Do homework
Read

They have to do all the chores before they can outside and play.

Here is all the cute stuff I got from my kids for Mother's Day.  I felt pretty special.  Tom also made me breakfast in bed, changed all the diapers, made lunch, dinner and a yummy dessert.  He took care of the kids and tucked them all in bed.  He was exhausted at the end of the day.  It was the best day ever!! I have decided Mother's day and my birthday are by far my favorite holidays!!

For Chloe's birthday we got her ear's pierced again {she had them when she was 6 months old but kept pulling them out}  She was pretty excited.  Grandma, Chloe, Blakely, Eliza and I all went and her Aunt even let her pick out 3 packs of earrings.  She felt pretty special!!

We had a little party at the park for the boys.  We had pizza, played kick ball, had this yummy cute cake and had lots of fun!!  I wish I would have taken a picture of us all there.  My parents, tom's parents, Zac & Jilyn, Our friends the Wedigs, and Chambers all came.  It was lots of fun and really easy! My kind of party! I wish I would have gotten more pictures, I have been trying to just focus on having fun, enjoying the moment, and putting my camera away, but it makes me sad when I don't have all the pictures to document everything....

The boys are growing so fast.  They love to sit up

They got a bubble machine for their birthday.  They love it!

I love May.  We spent as much time outside as we could! Crew and cousin Blakely {who looks like she could be Carter's twin} found some muddy water, and we just let them play in it.  They loved it!

I decided to add some lighter color in my hair... here is the before and after...

It's been so fun to have Eliza living with us.  We ride our bikes, exercise and just have so much fun!  I was so sad when she moved out, but she only moved half a mile away so we still can see each other lots!!

I made these cute invites and helped a friend throw a shower for my neighbor.  I put together some fun guessing mustache games, and it turned out so cute.  I should have taken more pictures!

Here are just some selfies....

We had so many end of the year things.  Here is Alyvia's end of the year program pictures.

In one week we had 4 parties. A baby shower, BBQ, a School's out Party, and 80's night. We love our neighborhood and everyone in it!

At the BBQ the boys loved playing in the empty lot. They were seriously so messy - I had to take all the kids in through our back door and put them all in my shower.

On the last day of school, I hid behind a bush and jumped up sprayed them with silly string.  They thought it was pretty fun {okay I thought it was funny! }

I coordinated a after school party.  Sent out a text with an idea to do an activity at each person's house that wanted to participate and within 5 minutes the party was planned.
We started out my house with this cute car wash, then went to the next house and decorated bikes, each house we did something different, snow cones, water balloon fight, jumping on the tramp/slip n slide, pop cycles, red rover, and then ended at a house for swimming.  It was pretty fun to watch about 40 kids riding their bikes to each of the houses and doing the fun activities!

Tom of course was out of town for the whole week.... So I went alone. It was across the street so After the kids were asleep, Emma babysat and I ran over...

I love this quote:

Our ward did a memorial breakfast at the park by our house.  It was so fun

For my birthday Tom decided to do a week long celebration.  So each night he surprised me with a present.

Day 1: a cute box he spray painted with coupons; rub back, clean house, change diapers, food massage.

Day 2: Yummy treats with cute says.

Day 3: He hand painted these plates with a picture of each of our kids.

Day 4: A box full of personal spa day.

And this cute note:

Day 6: 2 Books

Day 7:  I don't have a picture but he let me hire a cleaning lady to come clean the whole house.
All of the gifts were awesome, but for sure a nice clean house makes me super happy!!

And then on my birthday I got pampered, we went out friday just Tom and I, and then on my actual birthday we went as a family to dinner.
Before I knew he was surprising me with everything else - he asked me what I wanted that I would never buy, I tend to always get things like a vacuum or blender that everyone can use.  I have always wanted a cricut but felt like it was something I didn't need.  So I got a silhouette cameo.  I love it!  I haven't done tons of projects yet, but I have my board on pinterest with all my ideas I want to do!

We found out Lyvi had a 3rd front tooth she had to get removed. $800 later this girl was happy cause she got to spend the day watching moves, eating ice-cream, pudding, popcicles, and anything else she wanted! The next week we found out Chloe has a third front tooth.  Crazy!!  So now I just need to pay off this one! Ouch!!

We don't always dress them alike.  A lot of times they just coordinate... here they are ready for church!

Emma discovered she is a 6 in women's and could fit perfectly in these little heels. She begged me to buy them but we aren't quite ready for shoes this tall.  She had fun trying them on, and even found some flats for $4. I can't believe she is growing up so fast!

We went to the What women want expo.  I had missed going since we moved to Vegas. My neighbor and Eliza and a few of us girls went.  We had lots of fun being clothes and taking pictures in the photo booth!

I still my friends in Vegas but love being back in Saint George.  I missed the cute little restaurants, living so close to everything, the fun expos, and all the parades and activities that I'm sure Vegas had but were not 5 minutes from my house.  And I definitely missed the red rocks and all the trees. We live out in the fields, so we walk a ton, pass by cows, horses, chickens, I feel a little like we live in the country even though we are 10-15 minutes from everything.  We love that the kids can go out and ride their bikes and play at neighbors.  And that we have been able to see all our friends we had left behind.
