Our Summer plans part 1
We've been busy this summer, trying to have some kind of routine. The kids get up and do their chores and they have a weekly packet of homework. After everything is done they can go outside and play or have friends over. Another great reason so have so many kids live on the same street, we don't have to make big long play dates where I have to go pick up and drop off kids. They can come for 20 min, or 4 hours and just walk home. We seriously have sooo many kids running in and out of the house, but I love it! And all the kids are so behaved and nice that it is great.
So here is part one of our summer...
I have been busy trying to finish decorating the house. Since Eric and Eliza moved out I got Emma's room almost done and the boys....
The boys finally got beds. They have been sleeping on their mattress for months {since they kept climbing out of their beds it was just safer that way} They love their new beds!!
We got a sitter and took the girls roller-skating. It was tons of fun!!
The kids spent lots of time at my cousins house and she is the most awesome fun mom and kept taking the kids to jumping jacks, or to the rec-center to go rock climbing or swimming. The two oldest made it to the top and were pretty proud of themselves!
The boys and I stayed home and napped {I mean they napped....wink wink}
They finally love to chill in bed while I edit and watch a movie. I love it!
For the Fourth of July we went to Pinevalley for 4 days. It is a lot cooler there and the kids love to run around outside. Their great grandpa pushed them all in the tire swing and they loved it!
Great Grandpa Stucki wanted all the families to push the handcarts to experience a little what it would be like. They wanted it to be a surprise but said to wear tennis shoes.. well I figured they just meant the kids so I wore flip flops... Not too easy to walk in flip flops but I pretty much was the photographer so it was fine. The kids thought it was lots of fun!!
Then Papa {Tom's dad} did a fire burning ceremony. The older girls got to help and thought it was cool. Papa is certified to do it and so it was fun to see the proper way to do it.
While my parents were here visiting from China they took us out to Bucca Di Beppo
We lucked out cause my neighbor had bought tickets for Tuachan, got sick so the four of us went to Wizard of Oz. The seats weren't super great but before the show even started the people behind us split their whole soda on my parents and got it all over their shoes and my mom's purse so they gave us a new seat, and we had pretty awesome seats right in the main aisle were they used the aisle as the yellow brick road, so throughout the whole show the characters marched right in front of us....
We read Harry Potter to the kids and finished book 1 so we had a Harry Potter night with 2 other families on our street {my running buddies} and watched the movies. We had gummy frogs, and worms, butter beer, popcorn and magic wands {pretzel sticks}. We hung up a sheet and used our projector and the kids loved it!!
Somebody decided not to use a spoon... what a goof ball! I want to remember these crazy moments forever!!
Cause even though they are a handful and get into a lot of trouble. They are sooooo cute and I love these little guys so much! They bring so much joy in my lives. I couldn't imagine life without them BOTH!
We went to the Pioneer day parade. The boys had to work so it was all us girls {and the twins} They loved the tank, the horses and all the cars....and the candy!
Made Tom try the Waffle Luv Truck. It's amazing. I love it! Even if it is $8 a waffle. Ouch!
