Christmas Lights

First in 5 years that we hung up Christmas lights, and we only enjoyed them for 3 days till one strand blew out. bummer!!

Christmas Gifts

This year we decided to limit the amount of presents. So they each got:

1. Something they Want

2. Something they Need

3. Something they Want

4. Something to Read.

It made shopping easier, I made a check list and wrote out all their gifts, ordered them online and had all my shopping down the beginning of December. It was awesome! I truly got to enjoy the season better and focus on the important things. I even got all my wrapping done too!!

Tom finally finished his gingerbread house. It was seriously sooo big!

Game Night

My parents came in for Thanksgiving and stayed with us most of December. We had tons of fun having my brothers over, hanging out and playing games.

We love the game celebrity {except we changed it for Christmas} Everyone writes, on a small piece of paper each their favorite song, treat, movie, drink, christmas character, tradition, cartoon, activity, etc.. Then you dump it in a bowl. You play 3 rounds.

1. Round 1- you can say anything but the word on the paper. {time for 1 minute and have your team guess keep switching till all the papers are gone- keeping track of the score}

2. Round 2 - Put all the papers back in the bowl, Now you act of the words {setting a 1 minute timer and taking turns between teams-only your team guesses}

3. Round 3 - Put all the words back in the bowl, now you can only say 1 word to get them to guess. That's it! It's fun. The celebrity version is just writing down 10 celebrities. That's fun to but we love the Christmas version.

Church calling

After teaching for a year, they released all the RS teachers. I was pretty sad. Who would have ever thought I would say that! I had my last lesson and had Emma and Emma {our next door neighbor} sing, Because I have been given much. Both have such a beautiful voice, and neighbor Emma is amazing at harmony! It was amazing.

We love the fall!!

We had a Christmas Party at my Cousins house, did a gift exchange, I made homemade chicken noodle, and homemade noodles. It was so good, and cheese and broccoli soup.
