The Delivery - May 9th 2012
The babies made it!
Carter was 6.5 and 18.75 inches long and was born at 8:29 pm
Crew was 5.5 and 18 inches long and was born at 8:30 pm
So Wednesday May 9th
I was playing a little Mario kart with my sister in law when I started having contractions. They were about ten minutes apart so I decided to start writing them down. They progressed pretty quick and were about 7 minutes apart. I knew the babies were breeched and so I called my doctor and my sister in law took me to the hospital at about 2 pm. I was dilated to a 2. They wanted to make sure I was actually in labor so my sister in law, Eliza and I walked around the halls for an hour and was about 3+, and than an hour later I was at a 5.
Tom and my dad had gone to dinner - they had told us it would be about 2-3 hours cause there were two ahead of me.
Because of how fast I had progressed they wanted to get me in right away so all the sudden it was crazy and they were getting me ready so fast. Tom wasn't answering his text so my mom called my dad and told them to get over right away. They agreed to let my mom go in since she had missed all my other deliveries. She was so excited!! I was so grateful.
Everything went well. I totally laughed the whole time cause everything was so tingly and weird and with the drugs I just couldn't stop giggling. It was so amazing when they pulled them out and they were crying- it was so emotional cause I couldn't see them very well and with my other deliveries I got to hold them so this was definitely a different experience.

I don't look very good in these -- I ended up having to get a blood transfusion. You can see how pale I am.

Way to go! I'm glad everything went well and all three of you are healthy. Congratulations! Are they home yet or still in the hospital?
That is just so awesome, I still can't believe it! You are one lucky girl and I am soooooo happy for you!
I am so excited for you guys! What adorable little babies you have and you look great! I hope everything continues to go well for all of you. I am sure all of your girls are super excited to have their brothers home! Congratulations!
That was the most awesome-ist post ever! I still can't believe that you've had twins... Question - what were the knots in the cords about?
