Twins Photo shoot and our new crazy life!
On day 10 I felt okay enough to do their pictures. It was tricky because in a normal newborn shoot I have the mom there to help, and besides it is double trouble since I have never done twins before. I had Tom there but I got frustrated at him cause he wasn't helping as much and I kind of sort of would get snappy at him, and I have never snapped at a mother so I felt bad. In my defense I am super tired and on pain meds still. One more hand definitely would have made it easier.
It hasn't been as hard as I thought it is pretty much the same as one baby - still exhausting! Still feeding every 3 hours I just do two bottles or nursing at the same time, burp at the same time, and then change two bums. It takes about 45 minutes - 1 hour and then we do it all over again two hours later. The tricky thing is when they start to cry it is hard to hold both at the same time and try to get stuff done. Oh and my mom is still here so that helps big time. Once she is gone I'm sure it will be a lot harder. Especially cause right now I feel like I can just handle my kids and the babies and that doesn't leave any time for cleaning, doing laundry, and everything else that needs to be done.
On Monday we got the boys snipped. It was SO sad. That night my mom went home cause she had to work the next day. So I did all the night shifts alone. Tom was exhausted and since he had to work I felt bad and so I did them alone. So anyways before bed Tom is changing Crew and accidently rips off the bandage and there is blood and he feels so horrible, Crew is crying, I am feeding Carter and Emma comes down and says Chloe is in the process of throwing up everywhere. SERIOUSLY??
So Tom runs upstairs to take care of Chloe, I set Carter down he starts to scream, cause he is mid bottle feeding and is still hungry. Crew is crying cause he naked and has peed all over and well his Dad just ripped off the bandage on his Penis. Ouch! So I am helping him and it is all chaotic and I'm thinking Mom why did you leave me?? That is the first time I have felt overwhelmed thinking how am I going to do this once I don't have help. But we will get the hang of it -- If anything it will make for some fun stories!!
Like the fact that yesterday because you have to put the vasoline on each diaper change - I got peed on 8 times. Went through almost all the outfits I own for both them and me.... My mom did like 8 loads of laundry just to try to keep up. Needless to say it was a crazy day and I didn't even get a shower in till 7 pm that night.

Bahahaha!!! I've been pee'd on so many times I've lost count. Welcome to the world of boys :) But seriously, you poor thing. I wish I were closer and able to help you. Hang in there!

Those pictures are so incredibly cute! I love them! I'm also impressed that they would both lay there asleep- Tyler never did that. I love the hats! You're amazing!
