Shocked but not shocked.
So I went to SEP night and met with the girls teachers. Emma's teacher loves her. {no surprise} She says she is kind and gets along with everyone, always is working hard and loves having her in class. Alyvia's teacher says Alyvia works hard, fits right in with all the kids, is very smart, and she is suppose to be at 100 reading level at the end of this year and is starting the year off at 125. She has turned into my little reader! Who would have guessed a year ago when I had to force her to read!So then I go into Chloe's class...
The first thing she says is "I love Chloe, she is sooo funny!" {Ha why does everyone start out by saying that} She says Chloe sometimes comes in from recess a little hyper, well she ran up behind a kid {not sure if it was a boy or girl} gave them a bear hug and body slammed them to the floor. {Insert me gasping and shocked and somewhat laughing-- What??!!} Well if you know Chloe she isn't really the body slamming type, she is tiny and loves everyone. She hardly ever gets angry! She gets hurt feelings, and cries a lot but she doesn't get angry at very many people. SO I'm thinking she gave a bear hug and probably fell over, um doesn't that sound more like her?
So her teacher goes on and says "well she got put in think time" {the classes version of time out - in another class room} Then later her teacher tells her she needs to get back on task.. and Chloe ask excitedly "Can I go to think time?" Guess she liked it? Her teacher was a little shocked a student wanted to get in trouble. She asked Chloe why she would want to go to think time, and Chloe answers "I like what the other class is doing better than what we are doing in here".. Ha ha.
Oh man! We love Chloe soooo much! She keeps us on our toes. She is so funny! She isn't a bad kid at all. She just has a different way of thinking. She has a little bit of a hard time focusing, gets easily sidetracked. But I think those traits also make her the funny, easy going and likable girl we all love!!
